and Fabrication Options

Coated Tubular Webbing

Tubular webbing is designed with a hollow center so another product, material, cable, or component can be slid through it. Adding a BioThane® coating provides important advantages over uncoated tubular webbing, including greater protection, durability, rigidity, and cleanability.

Our 1-inch coated tubular webbing is available to purchase online. Made-to-order options are available in widths from 3/8 inch to 4 inches, with your choice of BioThane® coating, color, and finish.

Designed to Protect What Runs Through It

Tubular webbing is commonly used when another product or component needs to pass through the center of the webbing. This hollow construction can serve as a sleeve, cover, handle, protective layer, or part of a larger fabricated assembly.

Compared with uncoated tubular webbing, BioThane® coated tubular webbing provides an added layer of protection around whatever is placed inside. The durable coating helps shield the internal product from moisture, dirt, abrasion, and repeated handling.

The coated surface is waterproof, easy to clean, and more rigid than uncoated webbing. This added structure can make the material easier to handle, shape, and incorporate into a finished product.
The coating also makes the tubular webbing compatible with RF welding and hot-air welding, giving manufacturers additional fabrication options beyond traditional sewing.

Benefits of Coated Tubular Webbing

Protects What’s Inside

The coating creates a durable exterior layer that helps protect the product, material, or component placed through the center.

Durable, Waterproof, and Cleanable

The coated surface stands up to demanding use, resists moisture, and can be wiped clean more easily than uncoated webbing.

Adds Rigidity and Structure

The coating gives the tubular webbing more body, helping it maintain its shape and making it easier to handle during fabrication and use.

RF and Hot-Air Weldable

BioThane® coated tubular webbing can be RF welded or hot-air welded, supporting strong, efficient fabrication for a variety of finished products.
